The Langhe offers an uncontaminated scenic view and a world to discover for nature lovers. The vast sprawling hills offer a plentiful outdoor activities to do. Prized Alpine cheeses and top quality Piedmontese meat are appreciated and highly treasured as well. Part of the fun is getting to know the many micro farms and artisans, where not only can you savor their delicious products but embrace the stories that each has to tell.
Furthermore, with Piedmont's wealth of tourist attractions, there is sure to be something for every type of visitor. This area is ideally positioned. Just over the hills you can enjoy the warmth of the Italian Riviera, reachable in just under an hour by freeway. There are many day tour possibilities where you can visit some of the most beautiful gems like Portofino, Cinque Terre or the historical city of Genova. As an alternative, mountain lovers can reach the uncontaminated Alpine valleys at the same distance. Each vallata has its own unique characteristic and charm. The tiny hamlets, made up of only small stone houses, stacked on top of each other, is a unique site to see, Why not taste the food specialties in a traditional old Piola chalet while you are there? The Alps are an exciting destination for passionate hikers and Alpine skiiers thanks to miles of ski slopes throughout the area. For history lovers, this region offers a wide range of historical sites of interest. A multitude of castles, well-kept ancient forts, palaces, museums, and the dynamic city of Torino can offer anything you are looking for.
